SCHOOLS

Doniphan School District No. 26 has one elementary and one junior/senior high school. Student enrollment is 250 in the elementary school, and 225 in the junior/senior high school.

The Doniphan School District, located in Adams, Hall, and Hamilton Counties, is a Class 3, Type K-12 district accredited by the State of Nebraska.

Doniphan is part of the Central Community College, (308) 384-5220, which encompasses 25 counties. The college maintains administrative office in Grand Island and operates campuses at Hastings, Columbus, and Grand Island. Central Community College works with area industries, retail establishments, and other agencies and organizations in planning and implementing in-plant training programs.

CHURCHES

Doniphan has three churches: one Catholic, one Lutheran; Missouri Synod, and one United Methodist.

MEDICAL

The Doniphan Medical Clinic, (402) 845-9203, owned by Saint Francis Medical Center in Grand Island, Nebraska, was opened in June 1990, and expanded in 1994. The clinic, located at 2011 West Clarice Street, is staffed by physicians from Family Practice of Grand Island.

Doniphan is served by the Hall County Ambulance and Paramedic Service. Doniphan has volunteer First Responders who are paged to all medical emergencies to provide basic life support.

There are two hospitals located within 14 miles of Doniphan.

NURSING HOMES
